We got grass!!!

Last year we had dirt and fought erosion all summer. I got the grass started last fall. The Kentucky Bluegrass and Fescue germinates best in spring and fall. I frost seeded this March in the remaining bare spots. I used excelsior mats on the slopes to hold the seed in place and keep it moist. I have not watered all spring.

The first couple of pictures were a year ago today. The others were taken this morning.

That is my neighbors clover/alfalfa field. He made his first cutting this past weekend.
