My dad was out loading some hay around one of our dove spots in between Mason and Brady earlier this morning. He called me and said he was seeing tons of birds.

Dove numbers seem to always suck in central Texas. I miss west Texas in that regard

Very few on my places in Mills county. It's been years since we had more than a day or 2 of good hunting.

I like your dad’s report, hope they stick around.

We've got a cool front coming this weekend up here, might push them down. They're saying snow for the high country.
Doesn't take much to get them headed south and this may do it for you all.
Never fails right before Sept 1 we get a cold front and all the dove leave.

I dropped my truck off at Leif Johnson Ford in Austin this morning and saw a good amount flying around. May just be city birds but it was nice to see.
