    Iowa bound...

Heading out in the morning for my first Iowa hunt. This hunt has been a few years in the making. Buying points then finally applying this year. I didn’t get drawn for archery, instead I got first shotgun season. I’ll take what I can get! I hope I have some pictures to share in the coming days. I’ll be the first hunter on the property all season so I’m feeling pretty good about my chances. Here are some pics from the farm.
Any last minute pointers from those of you who have hunted Iowa before?

Sit near bedding in the morning and food sources in the evening. The rut is pretty much done.

              Where are you hunting?

Have you got a .450 Bushmaster or .350 Legend?

                  Good luck!

Heater body suit and ozonics is the only thing I wish I would have had on my trip.

Thanks for the input. I picked up a .450 off of here this summer. Killed a couple pigs with it so far. Hoping to let it do some work next week!!

Perow just offered me a body suit to take with me. I don’t have time to get it before I leave. Hoping I’m not regretting that decision.

                          Which Zone are you hunting?

I fly up Friday for first season as well.

Best advice. Don’t choke when one of those giants walk out. Good luck.

There’s no place like Iowa. Period. It’s just an amazing place.
