Ok, everyone please read. Last week I started out in my airboat and smelled gas. I killed it only to discover the intake had a half inch of gas on it. The headers soaked as well as the distributer. There were perfect round holes in a fuel line.
The next day dad called me and said all the 35 gallons of gas he had stored had Ieaked out and there were beetles all in the gas. I also had cans of gas and sure enough my cans were covered in beetles as well. They bored perfect round holes in the cans and fuel lines but the liquid gas doesn't phase them!
After a little research, they are an exotic camphor bore after ethanol. Huge fire hazard ruining any plastic fuel tank and fuel lines!!!
Beware. Houston Co. East tx.
