    Best Fridge?

Do I have to buy a Sub-Zero to get something that will actually last? This crap is getting old. Another dead fridge and I’m convinced these companies design these things to fail.

So I’m in the market for a new fridge…

Which kind did you last have? We have a Samsung now that the icemaker freezes up every month on. Bought to switch it up to a LG with craft ice.

Good rule of thumb. Never buy a Samsung.

I have been told by an independent repair specialist that only 1 company makes the compressors for every fridge on the market. Hence most fridges going out r the compressor from what i am told. Do not hold me as truth on this, just what i was told.

Had a Bosch for 4 years and no complaints, everything still works as it should. It was a Lowes scratch and dent deal. $300 cash for a $2200 fridge.

Like Ford, Chevy, Dodge….you will hear all kinds of opinions. I was in this boat last year when researching entire kitchen appliances for the new house. We ended up going with KitchenAid based on overall reviews and specs. Not Sub Zero expensive but not a cheap date either.

I’ve gone through a newer GE (circuit board) and now a newer LG (compressor) in the span of 18 months.

Do not buy a Samsung. We currently have a KitchenAid that’s doing alright.

Our Samsung was a scratch and dent that was half off new price. 12 years old and still going strong. Love that it has 2 ice makers.

The Monkey Wards in my shop is 70 years old and still working but I don't think they make them any more. Sub Zero in my house is 23 years old and still works.
