    Snake Identification

Ran across a snake I’ve never seen before. Hughes County, OK. Anybody have any ideas?

    Eastern yellow-bellied racer. Cool snake.

I guess I should say: no snakes were harmed

I seen one of those this weekend as well at my property in woodville. About the same size.

Yea, he looks like he was not happy with someone. I see the skin on the bottoms side behind his head, is hanging down, like he has got some muscles tensed up, or something.

Yellow bellied racer is correct. Much like a coach whip. They can be very aggressive but generally are quick to escape.

I've only seen one and it was out on my place in Doss. Them suckers are quick!

Looks like a mamba to me. Could be a yellow bellied racer pretending to be a mamba though.

I also saw one of these this weekend at my place in Jefferson.
