Well it wasn't worth getting back in my opinion. They took the tires/wheels, battery, seats, tail gate, tail lights, tore the whole dash up. It wasn't worth even trying to fix to me. Here are the pics of how we found it. They put 2 wheels on it just to tow it I guess.😡

I would have had to put seats, tail lights, new instrument cluster, wheels and tires, battery, and pay the yard $400 just to get back what was mine and then dump more money in it. Truck wasn't worth $3500. Oh man I was sick when we walkes up on it! I really hope they get what they got coming to them!

I would pay the $400 sell the engine and trans (pending the engine is not the 6cyl) You'll make a decent amount for those alone. Someone would likely buy the whole truck and scrap the rest. Lots of us putting the LS engine swaps in many vehicles.

He did fish on the Sam Houston fishing team until his partner graduated last year. They fished and qualified for the college national championship 2 yrs ago and placed top 10. My son was also the one that sold you the creed

If they would make auto theft a major crime and more than a slap on the wrist it might make some of them think twice. I also like the idea of public whippings and hangings on the town square.

Sorry to see his truck destroyed

Sorry this happened to your son. I had the same thing happen when I was 16. Found my 63 Impala sitting on blocks on the rough side of town. The wrecking yard guy felt sorry for me and let me and my dad find parts for 1.00 each. Drove that car off the lot with different color wheels and a two barrel carburetor that hissed because it had no air and filter cover.
No backseat and both roll out vent windows broke off. Ripped up the headliner. I drove that car two years.
Hate a car thief or any thief.

SheJack territory. Go figure....Sorry your sons luck OP. That is some BS. I am glad to hear he didn't have any pistols or knives in the truck. Don't need any more thugs with weapons.

They tried to steal one of my trucks from kingwood a couple weeks ago, It was in a friends house driveway where im rebuilding a bathroom. I had pulled the battery out of it so apparently they didnt bring a wrecker. 2001 little silverado v6 just like yours.

I have it running again and repositioned to my country property. I just replaced the ignition lock housing and ign lock assy which were mangled, had to replace the shifter assy also due to the feedback cable was stuck in the lock housing. Got parts from a used column for $100
