No buck yet. But pigs still roam.
I always take some warm up shots before leaving camp sitting on the deck 15 yards out. The porch lights illuminate it well enough.
Love it when the arrow punches through, they squeal as they do the sideways run.
12 yard shot, 30 yard recovery.

I'm fat. I never get tired of eating.
Actually many are given away. This one will go to a guy I use to work with.
The big one went to another guy who works on my friends crew for tamales.
Warm weather I don't clean as many. Cool weather it's a lot of work.

I havenít been using my traditional bow much this season because I have a really big buck that I am after and heís in a spot that would be tough to get with a trad bow. So this morning was one of the handful of times that I decided to take my recurve and got my first deer of the season and first deer with my Bob Lee recurve.

Some great critter killin' going on above by Jeff, BDan, Gary, pdot and Bisch, to name a few.

Been a while since I could contribute to the thread, but here's a 37" scimitar-horned oryx taken Friday on a morning hunt at TBH sponsor Tim King's place, London Oaks Ranch, near Brady. Was guided by our own Bisch -- a human good luck charm, evidently.

Equipment was a Weathers 67-lb recurve, shooting a 600-grain 300-spine Black Eagle carbon arrow, tipped with a 300-grain Tuffhead single bevel broadhead.

Ten yard shot resulted in a pass-through, with animal expiring in sight 40 yards away.

Another great weekend at London Oaks Ranch indeed! As usual, Tim's (and his family's) hospitality, the camaraderie and the abundance of game made for great memories.
It was great to hunt with gentlemen like Andrew, Ellis and Bisch. Gary (DRT) was also there...
Ellis' scimitar oryx was a sight: nice mass and great symmetrical horns.

Thanks y'all. Very cool experience. Until recently, had never even considered going after such an animal.

Congrats to Chris on a nice doe. Great to share camp with you, Andrew, Gary, Bisch, Tim and his son Jake and family.

Congrats to all!

Itís great to see all of that success, I havenít even been able to hunt once this season, been too busy hosting.

Ellis and Chris, I really appreciate the kind words. We try really hard to give value, and at the same time hope to create friendships. With over 90% of our hunters this year being repeat customers, I have to assume that is working.
Seeing the smile, ok smirk, on Bischís face every time someone is successful drives that home also.
Sorry for the infomercial guys....

No infomercial seen in that. I feel right at home down there. The fact that you take us in and allow us to experience your family and friends says a lot Tim. Quality people and a ranch with so many targets always makes for a good hunt.

Well Tim, there was no pressure to share my experiences at your ranch. I can't believe I agree on anything publicly with Gary, but your family's kindness surely is a welcome positive influence in our lives these days.
