Little surprise this evening while taking the wife and kids fishing. Needed to cull out and move some 12”-15” to another pond. I had been using Texas Rig style the last hour with not much luck and the kids were using small minnow swim baits. They were killing them!!!! I switched over to a silver shallow water crank bait and hooked up with this gal. Wasn’t expecting a large fish and when she jumped everyone got a little crazy. 
My 8yr old son seriously started crying he had no idea what it was. 
Put up a great fight for 3-4 minutes.
Not my largest but a fun catch! Just under 8#.
