for all you guys that have a can am
What package is your can am? I'm looking at the defender max. Where did you find the best deal and what did you pay if you don't mind sharing. I like the Can ams due to more ground clearance, what made you pick Can Am over kawasaki, or Polaris? Thanks |

if anyone has a take off front bumper they want to get rid of, let me know. I need one for my defender.
I added a Super ATV flip up front windshield, a metal roof and a quick draw overhead gun rack to mine. Im going to add cube lights to the back, front bumper, winch, front led, and a few others. Im just taking one thing at a time for now. |

I bought mine at Hoffpauir in Goldthwaite. Justin Spies on here at East Texas Power Sports has good prices too. They were within a few dollars of each other. The only reason I went with Hoffy's was the distance for me to go get it. I spoke with just about every dealership from SA to DFW and Lufkin to San Angelo and not one of the others dealerships got anywhere close to the 2 above. I mean they were $2000-$3000 and a few even more higher than those 2. |

I can't take credit for the idea. Another member had posted and provided this link:
https://shop.snidermotorsporttx.com/...ductId=-852662 I did my version for ~$65 and still have material to do another. Koplin ratchet style grips, 1/4" plastic sheet (polypropylene), and self tapping screws from home depot. I had to do it twice as by AR stock is fixed and I needed to get the grips higher to clear the magazine. The one posted in link above would not have worked with my AR either. You could do any plastic or metal plate if you wanted. I wanted plastic to prevent any corrosion. Even though I picked up existing holes on the underside of the seat, I did have to enlarge slightly and drill thru. All in all, pretty simple mod. |

I have some Ranch Armor rear and front bumpers on order right now. They are made in Schertz, TX and I plan on going down to pick them up once I am notified.
I also did the big sky roof rack gun holder and added an LED light bar up front and led Backup lights. I also got a half windshield, but may look at going with a full windshield. Just do not know if I want to spend that kind of money on the windshield just yet. I am also looking at rear windshield to keep the dust from coming back in on me when driving down the ranch roads. That is what I have done to my 2020 Can Am HD8 XT, so far. |

Made my own, sort of, with a couple Kolpin grips and a little square tubing. This holds my Nylon 77 or my AR pistol equally well for a riding around gunrack.

I installed a Eagle MTX bumper on my defender. I really like it. Seems to be plenty sturdy. I also did the gun mounts under the seat and added a couple of light bars. So far I’m pleased with all of it. Sorry, I don’t know how to flip the pictures.

They’re made of plastic. Plastic has its place, but not for items that are functioning and mechanical. They’re loud, too. In-SLAM-out-SLAM, in-SLAM-out-SLAM! I am lobbying to have ours removed. |

I don't like doors either. Mine came with netting type doors and I ended up removing those. All they did was catch branches. I don't think I'd like solid doors either. Lease mate has a Viking with doors. Rode in it once and got old opening the door. If mine I would remove those doors too.

Not a fan of doors or nets here either. I’ll be pulling my drivers side net soon as I keep tripping over the bottom strap. The other three nets will stay on until my kids are bigger.
I bought the same gun holder as Heath and was excited about it until I decided to make a lever gun my ride around gun. The loop is too big so I’ll be looking for another direction to go in. |

My mod, post #65 is perfect for a lever gun and easy to build, as well as being much cheaper than a factory rack.

Snider Motorsports has the best gun rack option I have seen for the CanAm Defender. Mounts under the center seat and rear center seat on the 4 door model.
