    Generator PSA

I’ve been keeping up with all the power outage threads and people asking about whole home generators. I see folks talking about about paying $10-$14k to have a generator installed.

Brothers, that is crazy. You can get a 20-22kw with a transfer switch for about $5000. $700-$800 in wire, pipe, and a regulator. Find a propane tank on CL for $200 and you are good to go.

If you can read you can wire up a generator. It isn’t rocket surgery.

Key words. If you can read. It certainly isn’t rocket science.
New house will have one and a very well insulated and heated well house.

There are people on here with multiple APR rifles that don’t have a whole home standby generator complaining about not having power.....SMH

          Priorities man!

I think I can run most of mine off of my Miller Bobcat, not everything at once but selectively turning stuff on
I kept thinking the Oncor folks were going to get me going and waited around 30hrs before cranking it up (had to get dad to walk me through the connecting part over the phone)
