I don’t have a Dog in the Fight anymore, but San Saba has been dominant this year. 608-38 in points scored against opponents and undefeated. And I’m always a Fan of the 6 man Richland Springs Team (also undefeated). I root for these teams in Central Texas where I hunt and spend a bunch of time and have got to known a lot of the locals over the past 14 years.

Go Armadillos and Coyotes!

I sorta agree, but there have been some #4 seeds come out of a really tough district and do well.

My Brahmas from East Bernard are hoping for a good run again this year. Take on Sonora this Friday in New Braunfels.

Donít know about the QB situation. I didnít get to see last weeks game but 2 weeks ago, the starting QB went out at the start, the next guy up went out with a limp then the 3rd one played. But the start of 3rd quarter, the starting QB went back in and finished the game. I also heard during that game that 4 other starters were out.

Iíll do you one better than that. My Lexington Eagles are not only 3-7 but we are going in as the 1 seed in our District. Rogers is #4 in the state and 9-1 on the season and they are the 3 seed.

franklin has really been struggling this year they came off a near perfect year last year
lost a lot of the big linemen and power running backs they tried to adjust with some speed and passing but that's not franklin. franklin coach is a 3 yard and some dust kind of guy which has worked really good for the lions. going into the game tonight
franklin is a 13 point picked to win really hope they can get there game togather and
play a good game

Diboll is going to be hard to beat. I'm predicting they will make it all the way to the big dance. Those boys are tough!!
I heard when they played us, in the end, we had minus rushing yards for the night. Franklin has always been know to rack up rushing yards win or lose. Not that night!!! In fact, the first 2 quarters, we only picked up one first down. It really went downhill after that.

I read an artical the other night about high school football. It was about all the teams getting into the playoffs now. This year there could be four teams in the state that are in remote areas with only 4 teams in their districts that could finish 0-10 depending how their last weeks games went that make the playoffs!

All about the $$$$ as someone else stated above.

Orangefield runs the Slot T and rarely passes. If both teams are run oriented then could be a fast moving game. Both teams need to take advantage of each possession of the football.

I've been trying to erase that from my mind after watching that film all week, you didn't have to remind me Sqiqqy lol. Believe me, we know we have our hands full. We are a 4 seed going up against a top 5 state ranked undefeated team. Diboll is legit. All we can do is give it our best shot, control what we can control, and hope for the best. Tip your hat to 'em if you get your butt kicked. No matter the outcome, I'm thankful for God blessing me with the opportunity to be a part of such a great game every Friday night and get to do something I love. Don't forget to slow down and enjoy it!

Dripping Springs hosts Manor tomorrow. Itís been a weird season. Good defense. No clear offensive identity- lots of good athletes.

Narrow wins against Tivy and LBJ. New district has ZERO competition, so games have been boring. Hope they can get focused.

Believe that's the same thing we run. Now, this year, Lions have been passing more than usual. Some games great, some games not so much.

I know of at least one 0-10 team making the playoffs this year. As a coach, that would be more like a punishment than a reward. Anyone remember back when you had to win district to get in the playoffs? That was tough. I still think the top 2 advancing was enough. $$$ is the reason more than everyone a reward. The UIL needs that 15%

Awesome! Are y'all happy or mad about having the first round at home? I can see it both ways. As a fan, part of the fun of playoffs for me is the travel/food. But it would be nice for the team not to have "bus lag"..

Gilmer squeaked by farmersville 57-0..gilmers passing game looks much improved over the last few weeks. Last three games they have scored 129 points and only allowed 6.

Maybe the best catch I've seen in person... Jaxon Smith from Rockwall, Ohio State commit and probably the best receiver in Texas.

That's nice too. That ball to Jaxon last night was on a rope, he never touched it with his left hand and even had to move it from the defender after he caught it.

He was #2 on SportsCenter top 10 2 weeks ago, and I forgot about the first catch on this video....kid is a freak
