Buck Moon?

Anyone heard of this? The other night, our weather man said, "we're gonna have a buck moon". We looked it up and it says, its a moon when bucks start putting on antlers. Truth?

Never heard that. Bucks are already 3/4 thru the growing period.

That's what i was thinking too. I had never heard of "buck moon"

I have heard that referral before, supposedly that is what the Native Americans call it. They have their own set of names for every full moon

Sounds like the weather man is an avid hunter and really knows his stuff. I've never heard of it, but that doesn't mean it's not a thing.
