Making divers

So I decided to paint a couple extra decoys into divers.
Right now step one complete. Priming the ducks

Desided on ring necks so step two tape them off.

Use the clear primer sold at auto parts stores for painting plastic body parts. It really helps make paint stick if you put it on first. I have a couple black garbage bags of old decoys my son got from somebody's club and left at home when he moved out I should do something with.

Painted black.
Pulled tape.
Painted one grey and desided I liked white better so I left it.
Painted the bills and the eyes.

Just needs clear coat now but pretty much done now.

Very cool. I'm re painting my mallards right now. While during the split season. I may try this, to add different ducks to the spread.

What paints did you use?

White and grey primer. I couldn't find a flat gray spray paint and black flat.

When I do it again I will just go buy Bear Premium plus primer In sample sizes and get the collar I want and brush it on. I should have though about that before I did these.
