I don't post here much but when time allows i do get to the forest as I live less than an hour from it. Anyways I was inline at academy this morning and the guy in front of me was purchasing the APH permit. That not being a permit most Texas hunters purchase I asked where he was going and he said The Sam. Told him good luck. The kicker was he had a basket full of deer corn. Hope he reads the regs before spreading that corn.

Reading the regs does nothing for some people. I found a stand the other day latched up to a tree and a pile of oats not 20 yards from it. Wish we could do more to either teach those people or turn them in. I’ve thought about bringing some note cards with me and leaving notes for people like that

I use the cable over a tooth pick. It’s easier to remove. And no broken tooth pick that can stick you.

Is it stainless? That a pretty neat idea.
