    Real men

I took this picture this morning in Port Aransas. I don’t think I’m man enough to even think about doing that kind of work.

Nope. Nowhere to put my tea glass.

Not only that, there is electricity in all those wires.

Incredible skill on so many levels. I could never have done anything like that. Even when I was young and thought I was bulletproof.

I stopped and watched them for awhile and I was impressed.

Always cool to watch them work!

I think I would be more likely to do something like that for a living as opposed to climbing to the top of a TV/Radio tower.

I sent that picture to my Dad, he did that in Puerto Rico. Said those guys make about $350 an hour, but the life expectancy isnt all that long..

I saw them working a few weeks ago near Mustang Island State Park. They also used a chopper to pull wire down I-10 a few years back when they put in those new transmission lines. Pretty freaking awesome.

Can you imagine doing that for the first time? Sure, you've had training and know the science behind the Faraday suit but, reaching out and working on a live wire carrying 9 zillion volts must be quite the experience

It would be interesting to know what a helicopter lineman makes. You put alot of trust in that pilots hands.
