      If you can find the birds rafted up somewhere just stop and listen for a while. Try to mimic what the birds in your area sound like when they’re resting or feeding.

        Best thing you can do is be quiet. Rarely do I ever call. When I do, it's a couple quacks or a whistle for teal. Sit in a marsh with ducks and you'll hear single quacks, peeps, whistles. Sit in a marsh around duck hunters and you'll hear high balling kazoos all morning. Having natural motion in your decoys and staying hidden is much more important than making noise.
