Looks like Iran did shoot down the Ukrainian airliner

This may be included in the Iran thread but as many suspected, there are now reports we picked up the anti aircraft missiles being launched and subsequent explosion on radar. It was just a couple hours after the Iranians launched their missiles and they were on high alert - somebody panicked and blew 167 people out of the sky

Pentagon and Iraqi officials claim that the flight that crashed after leaving Tehran Tuesday night was shot down by an Iranian anti-aircraft missile system.

1 + 1 most likely equals 2......even in this scenario. Somebody shot it down.....them or us.....no hood either way.

          It was engine failure.

Caused by the engines being blown off the plane by a missile.

            Iran said it was Russia.

Still suspect it was intentional. I think that plane had intel assets aboard and Iran couldn’t allow them to leave and taking the plane hostage is just so 1978

There's a lot of shrapnel holes in the plane. Correct me if I wrong but these missiles are designed to explode when it nears the target and the shrapnel blast is intended to take down the plane....as oppose to the missile directly hitting the plane and exploding...right?

It sure seemed suspicious but you never know. Remember just a month after 9/11 when that AA Airbus crashed in New York City killing over 250? Everybody thought it was another terrorist attack - too much of a coincidence - but it turned out to be pilot error. In this case it is not hard to believe that some Iranian commander got confused about what he was seeing and fired away.

What you want to bet those Ukrainians on board were associated with the energy sector?
