32 lb. Brown Caught on 4 lb. Test Line

In the state perhaps most highly regarded for brown trout, a record has fallen that stood since 1966. At 7:30 p.m. on the night of Wednesday, March 3, Robbie Dockter of Conrad, Montana, landed a 32-pound, 6-ounce fish in the Marias River that will supplant the old record by a full 3 and a half...

That took some doing to land that thing. Great Job.

Glad to see this record go to an ultra light spin fisher and not a fly fisherman

I’ve fished the Marias. It’s low trout number but huge fish type river. That is a gigantic freaking trout.

That's nice, about 31 lbs bigger than any brown trout I have ever caught. I would be extremely excited to catch on 1/4 that weight.

That is about as cool of a story you could have on a fish that size! Unbelievable

As a fly fisherman. I got my *** beat on that river. I’m not sure I was worthy

He doesn't seem to strain at all holding a big fish out that far for the camera. He looks to have huge troll like fingers also.

We shall see if it's ever certified at the record.
