Talk about over-engineered....Get killed trying to be "safe".....

I had an "Ambusher" years ago....very similar to that thing once it was set up.....GREAT stand, but, VERY dangerous to both install and utilize. However, if a person was careful and used a logging boomer to attach the platform to the tree it was very safe. I could safely set it up in 20 - 30 minutes by myself. Maximum 20' platform height...solid gunrest.... very solid and sizable platform, etc. Ladder could get a bit sketchy, but, even that could be modified to very safe. I'd much rather have it than that mechanical and structural engineering project.

              Good lord!

By time he opened that first 900 pound box of steel noise I would already be 25’ up and sitting in my lone wolf telling him to try and make less noise. There are more than one way to skin a cat I guess.... but that’s by far the most trouble I’ve seen to do it

I kind of like those tree steps, but the rest of that can stay in the box.

Man, I love to hunt but that’s too much work for a deer.

I could have assembled an academy tripod and been hunting out of it before he got that thing up in the tree. Looks like the taj Mahal of ladder stands but dang lol not to mention the amount of noise to get it set up.
