    Need to borrow chicken plucker..

Got some chickens that will be ready in the next week. Anyone in the north DFW area have a chicken plucker I can borrow or know where I can rent one?

I've heard Windy Mills Farms can process your chicken for a fee. They are in Campbell, between Greenville and Commerce.

Tractor Supply sells pluckers for around $300.

Was looking at one of these as well. Think I'm gonna go ahead and pick one up.

No help here but I just replaced the bearings in one and it was nasty!!! I had never seen one before, the one I worked on was about the size of a washing machine tub. Interesting and disgusting at the same time... Good luck finding one.

Set it up with a hole-hawg and it'll run forever

They work very good. Have used it on chickens , quail and turkeys . Have you every plucked chickens ? Trick is making sure your water is the right temp. And just dunk them long enough until you can pull the tail feathers out easily .

                          I'm no help.

My mom used 3 kids a Grandma and hot water. We could get 100+ in the freezer or ready to can in a weekend. [emoji3]
