Need AC help

My thermosat will display a temp. That does not change as the house cools. The ac continues to cool and the temp keeps dropping but does not change on the display. Last night it was very cold in the house but the display showed 74 and the AC was still running.

I have a american standard heat pump. Less than 2 years old.

Sounds like bad thermostat to me

Thermostat is relatively cheap at Home Depot or Lowe’s and super easy to change I’d start there.

Sounds like a bad thermostat. But first, make sure it has new batteries if it uses them and also if it is on an exterior or knee wall, make sure the hole where the wires come through is sealed.
