Smoked Venison Meatloaf on the Weber Kettle

I just created a new video of my (almost) famous meatloaf recipe smoked on the Weber Kettle grill. This one's a crowd-pleaser for sure!

    Here's the recipe:

    Ultimate Venison Meatloaf Recipe
2 lbs ground venison (use the ground meat of your choice here)
    1 small onion, minced
    2-3 cloves garlic, minced
    1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup ketchup, plus more to top the meatloaf
    2 eggs
1/4 cup Parmesan Goldfish crackers, roughly crushed
    Salt and pepper, to taste

Saute onion and garlic until soft, set aside to cool
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, and work together thoroughly with clean hands
Let the mixture set for about 15-30 minutes
Form into a football shape, then top with ketchup

Bake, grill, or smoke at 350° until you reach an internal temperature of 160°

    Slice and serve

Great vid. Smoked meatloaf is one my go to’s. I have some ground wild hog that I mix 50/50 with venison. The sandwiches later in the week are probably my fav part. If you’re not smoking your meatloaf you’re missing out!

Short and sweet. I'll give it a shot this week.

It was about 1.5 hours on the grill. In the oven, it's usually about 1 hour or so. I cook by internal temperature so I usually forget to check the exact time.

Thanks. Just trying to get an idea of how soon to start it before dinner.

Mmm she’s getting close with most areas probing 160. I took it off the foil and put it in a pan and poured a can of tomato sauce on top. Will give it another 10-15 and call it done.

Mine only went about 50 minutes but I made it more wide and flat so it would be the same thickness across the top.
