This is all super helpful. My Blue Ridge is a breeze to shoot, its the Superstition I'm trying to figure out. It is still fun but I found just my pointer finger hurts from the shock. Its generally the most "connected" to the bow, so it makes some sense why just that finger is feeling it.

Higher brace height and heavier arrows will reduce hand shock.

If you are shooting a Dacron string the bow will vibrate more.

One thing that I haven't seen mentioned is the shape of the grip. I finally determined that the really high wrist grips have me feeling the slightest hand shock after just a few shots. I think maybe arthritis is the cause. The lower the grip, the less hand shock for me. Now if we are talking about a Hill or D style bow, forget it. Those suckers buzz like a bumble bee.
