Best Tasting Freshwater Fish?

Best shore lunch for me is fresh run Sockeye in AK.

Sockeye eat better than the other Salmon by far IMO.

Only trouble is they are harder to catch!

Walleye, yellow perch, crappie, bass, rainbow or native trout, pike.
Really not a catfish fan.

Best caught with lots of beer in waders- Smelt dipping with nets when they run - In the old days, used to fill buckets up to 50 gallon with these small delicacies. Eaten fresh is a real treat.

No question.... Fried crappie would be my numero uno with fried dink bass fillets a slight runner up....spice up the mix....chilled onions...ketchup.... hushpuppy's...maybe a jalapeno or two....man, hard to beat....channels, blues, trout would be lagging behind em for me

Walleye and yellow perch followed by crappie, bream, and flatheads. Ate a ton of black bass growing up as well. Threw anything back over 3 pounds outside of college! There we wore out some Mr Twisters on 6-7lb Toledo trashfish!

Fish that I didn't have to clean always taste better. I love food so I'm not too picky. If it's in front of me I'll eat it.

Crappie,walleye,catfish,bass,salmon,tuna,trout.... .sardines.....pretty much whatever.
