I got hunt 3! This will be my first time deer hunting on Benbrook, I've only gone for dove before.
Is hunt 3 from October 1-15? They took the dates off the website.

that would be a fair assumption on dates.
I'm in for hunt #4 - if you hunt# 3 guys need a spot, I can show you where there are bucket loads of deer...

I think you are mistaken, that's clearly tractor tire damage to a small tree.
there are no deer at benbrook lake

Didn't put in this year Topshot. Not sure I'll deer hunt this year. It's becoming a younger man's game. And I ain't as young or in as good of shape as I used to be. Plus I've got an older dog that I can't get anybody to take care of when I'm away hunting. And she has separation anxiety when we are away from the house. Hard to get her up in a tree too.

The fish are biting. And there's hogs to be kilt. Gotta go!

Are hang on, pop up or tripods ideal for BBL?

On the Benbrook Hunting website it says "Blinds must be removed at the end of each hunters 2 week permit." But, it doesn't say anything about when blinds can be placed. Does anyone know if we can put blinds out a day, or a few days, before our permit starts?

Well, I answered my own question. Called the Benbrook field office and they said you can't put a blind out before your hunt.

Had a staring contest with two deer on the way to my spot. Nothing but skeeters and birds since then. Thank God for this thermocell. I'd be out of blood by now without it
