    Central Texas Lake Getaway

Looking to book a house on the water for later this summer. We will have a boat, beach/swimming area is huge plus as we have small children. Easy fishing for a five year old is also plus. Proximity to some decent eateries is also good. Where would you recommend?

    Is LBJ a good option?

Yes sir LBJ would be a good option for all of those. The lake is usually pretty busy on the weekends but other than that it should fit all your needs.

Would it have options for VRBO\AirBNB rentals?

If you can find a house to rent on Inks that would be a great spot. Not much traffic there.

Look into kingsland. Right between the two.

Several spots on VRBO we like in this area. Just never been here in person to know if it is a good area?

Just curious... What would make a lake easy to fish?

There are good and bad parts in Kingsland. Some really nice VRBO's up the Colorado arm of LBJ. "Eateries" are in Austin. LOL Just messin' with ya Justin. I've heard some good things about a couple restaurants up around the confluence of the Llano/Colorado. Fishing is best in spring and fall. Summer is usually super crowded. Memorial Day through Labor Day can be stupid busy. Might be tough with young kids but fishing the lights right after dark can be awesome...
