    Lung cancer - Scynovial sarcoma

Does anyone have any experience with Scynovial sarcoma ? I can’t find a whole lot of information on the www. Almost a year ago my dad went into the hospital for coughing up
Some blood. The doctors that the mass they saw in the lungs was more blood so they treated for that. A few weeks ago we had hunters in and he called me to help load up a blackbuck because his arm was hurting. He said he must of hit his arm or something because it was hurting. He couldn’t sleep that night , I did some field checks for stroke or heart attack but he wasn’t showing any of those signs. In the morning I got him to go to the emergency room. Turns out the “pool of blood” is a tumor. It is right under the heart so the doctors are starting chemo next week in hopes of getting it to shrink alittle so they can remove the whole left lung. He smoked for a very short time over 40 years ago but grew up smack dab in the middle of refineries in Groves Texas . Just seeing if anyone has any experience with this form
    Of cancer.
    Thanks
    Mike Savoy

Sorry to hear of your fathers illness. Prayers up. As mentioned above MD Anderson I would highly recommend. They are fantastic from my 8 day vacation I spent there last year.

I'm so sorry Mike. Is that the one that is nearly always caused from smoking? My mom is in 100% remission for 16 months now. She, too, was coughing up blood, went to the ER and they found the tumor. Fortunately, it was just 1 and they found a few lymph nodes with evidence of cancer. They did chemo and radiation.

However - every person's cancer is different and every person responds differently. There have been giant leaps forward on treating lung cancer and it is easily one of the most common to survive. Keep the faith.

Cancer sucks. We are 22 hours from my wifes surgery to remove kidney cancer.

Pathology is confirming that? Perhaps ask about Adenocarcinoma also, I don’t know where you are located, but find a sarcoma specialist. I have a email and phone number for a sarcoma expert in Cleveland. He was very helpful when my son was sick.

My prayers are with you all.

I appreciate the thoughts and prayers.
Lab shows that it is Scynovial sarcoma . He contacted a specialist who only handles that type at MD Anderson. I think some insurance issues came up , I am not sure where it stands right now.
That cancer rocks link up above is interesting stuff. I will ready more of it tonight.
