Out of curiosity. Found a lot of references to navhda in searches but no mentiof involvement.
Had been looking at GSPs as a hunting partner (admittedly other than birds because i don't have access or knowledge on wing shooting). Have been reading about navhda and other field trials for a while. I brought home a dog last weekend that's 4 months old from a local breeder, AKC registered with backgrounds in field trials. I believe i have a have a pretty decent dog based on what I've seen, as well as using the same vet as the breeder who has a high opinion of her dogs. Now I'm thinking about joining the lone star navhda group to network and see if i can't train him better, and maybe integrate us both into wing shooting. I want to see his full potential.
So, anyone involved that has any input, advise, or otherwise for a novice with GSPs thinking about going "full send" on this endeavor? I still have more questions than i know where to begin.
