    Traditional FSC Week 6

Simple, short consistency challenge this week. Fold an 8.5x11" piece of paper in half both ways to create four quadrants and put a dot in the approximate center of each.

Challenge is to shoot the first two arrows of a day from 10 yards (5 for kids), any position, as close as possible to the center dot of any quadrant. Measure nearest part of arrow shaft to the other arrow shaft. Tie- breaker is closest single arrow of a pair to the center dot.

Winner will have the closest pair of arrows to each other and within (or touching a fold of) the same quadrant on any single day. For clarity, draw a big "X" after using a quadrant, and shoot at a different quadrant each day, with up to four days' tries allowed. Luck is allowed in that I don't care which unused quadrant the first arrow hits, as long as the second arrow goes into the same quadrant. Hitting in a "used" quadrant is a no-score.

    Good luck, have fun!

Note that the challenge is consistency -- not necessarily the closeness to the center spot. Saying it's more important to put the second arrow closer to the first arrow than to the dot. The dot is the original aimpoint, but its measure is only the tie-breaker part of the challenge. In other words, once the first arrow hits anywhere in an unused quadrant, then that arrow becomes the aimpoint for the second arrow. First "Robinhood" wins!

Went ahead and shot my first round. Actually was going for top left quadrant, but first arrow went in top right one (the left arrow), so adjusted for second shot. Plenty of room for improvement, but here it is Day 1: 1-5/8" between arrows; 5/8" to dot from nearest arrow.

No score, also failed to cover all holes from a previous FSC

First two shots in in two weeks. Shot sitting, shooting at upper left!

Move that pair over a bit and you're leading Reb!

Reb: luck is allowed on quadrant hit.

I didn't count it, because the outer arrow didn't tear paper.

Nice shots for the lead, DRT!

"Within (or touching a fold)" applies to the edge of paper as well, Reb. Doesn't have to cut the paper.

                              Here's my Day 2: 1/8"; but 2-13/16" from dot.
