still remember Grandma coming out of Hen house ringing neck on Hen and Makeing Big Pot of Chicken Noodle soup with her Homemade noodles for Sunday Meal back in 50s

Homemade dumplings are the way to go.
I take my chicken a little further by spatchcocking and smoking it over pecan first. Takes it up a notch.

I never seen dumplings like that. My mom used to chicken and dumplings a lot. Not sure how she made them but they were soft and puffy.
