Let me tell y’all what I did a few years ago, I use the low end ammo like federal blue box and call it a day because its always first back on the shelf and usually in stock.

How does that play out in my theory and what I advise others? So, if you think you need a 308 win and a fancy ammo you have to chase, you’ll be better off in the long run with a 30-06 and cheap ammo.

Heck, I don’t even shoot boattail ammo

Next time you are there, be sure to look behind the optics counter. They are keeping some there as well as out on carts in front of the gun counter. Selection has gotten better the last few weeks. Definitely not back to normal, but more calibers showing up. We were there on Sunday and they had a ton of .308 and .270. Granted I know it’s always right time, right place.
