I really don't get the love for tool. My local radio station played the whole album yesterday and i tried to listen to here and there, but i really just don't care for them at all. I didn't like them way back either, so not a big deal for me, but don't understand why anyone likes them. But, to each his own

8 minutes to get to one 5 second drum riff that is really no better than any other elite drummer, surrounded by 12 minutes of crappy music, precisely why i don't like tool. But thanks for trying and i did listen to it with an open mind, but IMO tool still no bueno


PS thanks for telling me where the decent riff was so i didn't have to muddle through all that, probably would have never made it the 8 minutes

Maynard's singing style is definitely more like APC these days but the band's overall sound hasn't changed much.
Ænima is still my favorite Tool album. I'm not yet sure if I like Fear Inoculum as much as Lateralus but it's close. Invincible and 7empest are my favorite tracks so far.
