Curious - what is involved in getting the meat back home?

Awesome haul! I had the privilege of doing this last year about this time. Very memorable trip!

When I go up, I vacuum pack it, freeze it solid, and put it in a cooler. It comes on the same flight as me. If you take your family just combine your clothes into as few suitcases as possible and bring more coolers!

The lodge cuts it into portions, vacuum seals it, freezes it, packs it into 50lb insulated boxes, labels it and make sure it gets on the plane. Then you have to pay as if it’s a checked bag.

Fishing was so fast you hardly had time.
