    Castaway Rods???

I have a couple of Castaway rods and love the feel and sensitivity.
But I opened up my rod box the other day and the tip of one was broke off.
I know I didn’t close the lid on it. It just seems to have broken off for know reason. Of course Castaway says it’s not defective. Anyone else have problems with these rods?

I haven't had a Castaway rod in years, but I was never much of a fan of theirs when I did use them.
Cheap components.......eyes that rusted out in no time.
I called them "Throwaways" for good reason.

I’ve had many and still do. Never had an issue with any of them that wasn’t my fault.

They're about all I use. Never had a problem with them. Did they offer to repair it?

No they offered a discount that would basically cover shipping cost.
But if they are too brittle I don’t want to spend a $100 on another one.

I have a few older ones that never gave me a problem but i dont use them anymore. Old tech and are too heavy for whats out there now for that price range.

I have several Castaway rods and no issues with any of them breaking unless it was my fault.

                  Castaway Rods???

I own 1 castaway I have had for many year and never really had a issue with it. I don’t fish with it often at all, as I have multiple rods that are superior.

I always preferred the original Allstar rods to the castaway.

The best warranty I’ve had on any rod I’ve owed so far is waterloo.

Spend a little more and get a St. Croix.

Castaway was a "good" rod back in the 90's when their US suppliers had good quality blanks, but seemed to have become less and less reliable. I haven't used them in years, but they're older rods are worth repairing.
