    From Lake Somerville. Mature male I believe and a distant juvenile.

    Great pics as always Bill! The second to last, full wing span in flight, just wow Sir!!! I've been working close to the lake and have spent a few nights at Nails Creek, where did you see them??

        Thank you. These were on the south side of the lake. There are 3 to 4 nesting pair on the lake including Nails Creek and Birch Creek. I have seen them both of the state parks. Spotting them is hit or miss.

          Thanks for the info. Side note, we use to hunt on Sandstone Mountain in Llano before it was high fenced. Our camp was on the Llano river and I saw my first Bald Eagle there. It had a nest in a huge pecan tree by our camp. It would swoop down and pluck carp right out of the river, it was a magical site for a city kid from Houston!!

            Beautiful Pics Bill and thanks for all the pics you share.

            I'm taken by some of the large bird pics and how similar things are.

            Look at the wing tip of the 787 and and the eagle. We've worked really hard at reverse engineering one of Gods creations.

            If you watch these big birds when they're gliding, the wings work in a very similar way.
