I just rolled thru this cattle guard slinging the peace sign back at the rig. It’s very possible I may need a permit for this wide smile I’m driving to the airport with. I’ve been at work for 2 weeks impatiently waiting on today.
I’ll be starting the 1st leg of my “18 days to kill” tomorrow morning in an acorn tree in Illinois. I’ll hunt there Tuesday- Friday, home for the weekend, then on to Kansas to hunt the 2nd leg Nov 15-22, back to work for 2 weeks, then flying to Jonesboro Arkansas for the 3rd leg to hunt Dec 8-10 and finally the 4th leg will be in South Tx to rap up my year Dec 15-17.
This is the part of my live hunt where Summer will tell you she is the best wife EVER!!! And she’ll get no argument from me.
My season has already started out great with Talen killing his biggest bow buck to date, and my dad following up with his personal best buck with me sitting right beside him in the blind. So I’m definitely feeling the pressure to follow suit.
My flight leaves Midland @ 5:00 and lands in Indianapolis, after a layover in a Houston, @ 10:30. I’ll be at camp tonight around 12:30 tonight and in the stand before daylight.
I should have service all week and I’ll definitely keep it live as possible with plenty of pics.
