    RailRoad Ties

Anyone have a connection for used railroad ties. I need about 25 or so.

The least expensive I found was in San Antonio. Bundles of 20 $120 per bundle. I think my trailer would hold 2-4 bundles. I was told each bundle weight about 1500 lbs.

Maybe I should go get some and sell what I do not need.

    I'm in Madisonville.

    Thanks

    Stan

if they are not all beaten up I don't think you will beat that deal. Did you ask if they would sell partial bundles? even if u had to pay a couple dollars more each it might still be cheaper than having to buy 15 extra

If they aren’t dried out I would imagine a bundle will weigh quite a bit more than 1500lbs. Don’t want you to overload your trailer too badly so you might confirm the weight. I’ve had some 8’ers that have pushed 150-200lbs.

My trailer is rated to hold a bit of 10,000lbs. I should be good!

So $575 to buy good quality ones from mcoys vs $240 + $100 fuel to buy iffy ones in san Antonio? I would need to save more then 200 to spend a day on the road and risk a blow out or some other issue. Has to be a place in houston that has them and is closer.

That's why I posted here... I was not planning on going to San Antonio....

Already have a great lead on getting what I need.
