I wouldn’t even think of trying it it’s so thick. I stopped getting pics for a little while bc the ragweed got taller than the deer. I haven’t been out in a month so hopefully nobody’s too close.
Last year I wasn’t as far off the beaten path and had a couple roaming crossbow hunters come by, so we’ll see if I’m far enough out now. I’m just curious, but has anyone heard of success walking around with a crossbow?

I have not heard of any successful spot and stalk on whitetails. Pigs is a different story.
That’s actually not a bad idea if you get the right distance from the roads, main paths etc. just wait for the stalkers to push them to you.
Last year I went in a little later every sit and stayed longer waiting for others to leave and get the deer moving. It worked sometimes but not regularly. It was so dry out there and no acorns on the oaks.
I really haven’t seen much ragweed but there’s plenty of those cinna beans or however you spell it. Did anybody else get pics of a park ranger walking by? I had him walk right by my camera a month or so ago.

Dang man. There’s really nothing to do about it either. The more the pollen spreads then more of that crap grows. They really need to do a controlled burn on that entire place.
