A few years ago. Hit him low and had to get a dog to find him.
He didn't go very far, but quit bleeding and burrowed into thick brush & grass.

My biggest archery buck. 153" Texas Hill country LF. 9 point 18.5 inside spread, long tines. Shot from brush blind at 3:50 PM, in 100 degree heat in October.

Probably my biggest LF Texas buck. I killed a couple of culls off the Faith that my friend Rob Hall let me shoot that might be a little bigger.

I quit chasing big deer and started killing them when I began hunting Kansas in the early 2000's. Other than hunting with Burnadell a couple of years in Rule, TX, I haven't hunted Texas in the last 20+ years.

BTW, that's my son Tyler from The Element in the pic.

I took this one 3 years ago off a 240 acre low fenced lease in Throckmorton Co. I wish he'd have kept the other brow tine, they would've almost touched. Unofficially grossed 154-3/8"
