Default Casinos and slot machines

So now that all slots are linked and connected to software AND most players enter their players card for "rewards"..... Is it all rigged?

It appears they can instantly know everything about the player.. How long they play, time between slot "pulls", how much they bet, how many non-winning spins until they move or give up, how many days/hours they play before leaving etc...

With this data seems it would be easy to really manipulate who wins.

Thoughts?

Just got back from Vegas, nobody seams to win anymore on slots. If you do win it might be $100. Freakin penny slots cost $10 a pull.

I have some friends that go to durant and win at almost every machine they sit at. I watched him sign 5 w-9's within about 3 hours.

My understanding is that is what the (hopefully not corrupt) Gaming Commission is for. To make sure these games are fair. If it came out that the casinos altered the winners based on a specific player's profile, then that would prove that the games are in fact rigged and as such, illegal in operation.

Too much at risk...........billions of dollars in licenses won't be put at risk so grandma Jones wont win $150.
Full disclosure: It would make me happy if they were that dumb and shut all of them down!!!

I'd like to believe this but just don't. You'd never convince me the gaming commission isn't in bed with casinos.
It would be far too easy to pick who wins and zero way to prove the winner was picked.

If things are not rigged then why are video cameras strictly forbidden in any casino?

Anyway - back on topic. Just curious how they may be using player data. Maybe no one ever wins anymore LOL. I know people that go all the time. Granted they "only" lose $400 or 500 each trip but you'd think eventually they'd hit one jackpot (over $800) after 4-5 trips per year going on 10 years now.

Video cameras are not forbidden in all casinos. Lots of people do live slot play on you tube from several casinos in Vegas and some Louisiana. I believe it's all luck and slot machines are run on random number generators.

My son hits all the time in NM, He told me there's a tell on most slots, Like the one with all the firecrackers around it, If most of them are blown-up it's ready to pay. He also play's $10 to $20 a pull.

I certainly think they are rigged, but I also think the casinos know better than to make them tight for too long. Word of mouth would kill them if nobody truly ever won.

The gaming commission sets the percentage of the payout. They are regulated. You need to learn which machines have the best payout. It's on the machine. I hate slots my self and play the majority of time on table games. My nephew has studied slots and that's all he plays. He plays a certain type of machine and game everytime with the highest percentage of payout. He had over 40 hand pays last year.

You bet that happens. My wife's uncle hit 105grand and sat there for over 3 hours while the forensic team went thru the machine. It checked out and they paid him.

No cards aren't mandatory. My wife don't play with one but I do lol. We both win about the same. The card tracks how much you play for comp purposes. Free rooms, food, ect.

Hell, it was all rigged for the player to lose from the jump. Anybody that thinks differently just ain’t played long enough. FTR, I don’t gamble with money in casinos, I do it with investments.

I don't trust anything that is electronic isn't gathering data on me, however I still throw a few bucks at slots when I go to the casino. I try to spend most of my times at the tables but it sure seems like I lose a lot less in the slot machines. I don't believe the slots are rigged because it would be a huge blow to the entire industry for something so petty.

It's really that simple. Slot machines use random number generating algorithms. Hitting a jackpot is literally random luck.

Are slot machines rigged? The answer is Yes to the extent that both the pay-out ratio and frequency are preset by the casino. The State gaming commissions have strict laws as to what the minimums of these presets can be and do conduct random audits of the various casinos to test it. Some casinos advertise better paying slot machines and that's what they are really stating; i.e. that their pay-out ratios and/or frequencies are set at higher percentages than other places.

As for players cards, I'd say that's primarily for tracking purposes. The casino can track just about everything about a player; what games they play, what's most popular, how often someone comes to the casino. It's also how comps are earned, tracked, etc. I've never been to a casino that required a players card. It's more like having a Randalls or CVS card. If you don't have one, you will not receive any discounts, etc.

I will say this. I go 1-3 times a year and on average bring $1,000. Everytime we go, it is with the same couple that, believe it or not, will spend 10-15k in 2 days.

EVERY SINGLE TRIP they hit more money, more often using their card. When they aren’t playing I will use their card and without fail will win more often. Switch to mine and my wife’s card and the wins are alot less and a lot less frequent.

Research “the taste”

It’s a strategy slots will do to hook you in. The ONLY time I win is playing “the taste”. Typically after a machine sits idle for a bit, it will give you a taste within the first 5 pulls. I bet the max for 5 - 10 pulls and if at anytime you get up from your original bet, you walk away. If you don’t hit the taste within 10 pulls you walk away. Normally works for me but is very hard to walk away if you only get up $20. But do it 5 times and you are up $100

Slots pay for all those comp rooms and buffets! Folks that go alot with their card are prolly allowed to win some so they'll keep coming back. That huge group of folks that just go once a year or less just wander around and feed the machines. Winning percentage is predetermined I'm bettin'.

This is what I'm thinking.

Also the newest thing is free play money. They've had that for a while but now they added times.. Like $40 in free play money you have to spend on day one. Then $20 FP money you have to gamble between 6 and 8pm Then another $20 good between 10-11pm.. Trying to keep people down in gaming area LOL

Can't lose my $20 so I better head down to slots real quick!

Nah, all my buddies and I are pretty honest about our wins and losses. Overall we are all ahead, helps when a $15,000 jackpot is hit and neighbor hit $157,000 last year. We only keep track of how far ahead we are. We were getting beat up end of last year and quit going, now we are back to going and definitely ahead, up $2000 this week. One of my friends will get tax statement of around $300,000 in earnings, payouts over $1200 on a pull. Now he bets big and not sure if he is ahead or not....all of this is at casino across from Lake Texoma

Well- I’ve done a ton of research and asked questions around this. I’ve played a lot too at the Nugget in LC and play at Livingston which of course is an Indian Reservation. The IR casinos are not regulated by the gaming commission. They do not have to report their slot payouts. They generally have a higher payback on their slots (which is all Livingston has) because they don’t have all the comps to give out to the players. They need something to draw players in. I hit 12 hand pays in one session (about 12 hrs of playing) at Livingston last year, but have also been smoked more than once. My experience playing (and again I’ve played a lot) is you will rarely come out ahead year over year.

This right here is the 100% truth. I have the same experience.
