Hated to ruin FMJAg's day....

Nice win. Thought they were going to blow it there at the end.

Texas escaped a close one tonight. Creighton 4 of 27 from the 3 point line cost them. Good W for UT. Kills me they can’t utilize all those upper deck seats with #7 in town.

Hard to shoot three pointers consistently with hands in your face. Texas plays really good D.

Do you remember Tony Watson? I played with him at Pflugerville highschool. Dude was an amazing player. UT has underperformed with tremendous talent. This team feels different.

Before hand:

McDermott: "Texas is gonna be the best defensive team we’ve played. And I don’t think it’s really close."

Hence the low production from da tre.

Lol I’m starting to sense a FMJAG64 obsession here. When y’all have enough momentum to open the upper deck and not block ticket sales to tech fans, find me lol. I said it was a good win for UT. Not sure what else you want. But do keep telling me about Defense as if I’m not familiar with the same scheme lol….

The upper deck seats won’t be used for basketball games. They could have sold them for Gonzaga and chose not to.

Good solid game from the Horns against a good ball club. Let’s see them do it somewhere besides Moody against Illinois.

Lol you’re smoking crack if you think they would turn away 6k more fans willing to show up, pay and be loud. CB of all people would get them in. That’s part of his mantra . Or at least I would hope so. I mean it was a lighthearted jab, but you can’t be real If you think any basketball program in the country is turning away December mid-week-game fans with thousands of seats blocked off. I know that’s what they said but no way. Bet that changes for Big12 play if attendance supports it. And before you come at me, nothing to do with tech or a comparison, merely an observation of a huge school in a huge city.

I think that’s gonna be a great game. TJ obviously gonna have some familiarity with the D. Be Interesting to see the game plan each team brings with so much info on one another. I still have KU, UT and maaaybe BU in a category of their own right now.

Edit: Down goes #4 Arizona

Well, the end of this has been pretty ugly!!!! I hope they figure something out for OT!

Not much burns me up worse than seeing players at this level that can’t make free throws; especially to ice a game!!!!!

Your assessment of Baylor is fair if not generous. I have no idea how good KU is this year, but from what I've seen, UT is better than Baylor.

Baylor has lots of talent but the defense isn't where it needs to be and chemistry is still developing. We'll see if they improve.

Defensive effort is demanded by the coaches so I think there will be some improvement, but Davion Mitchell is no longer on the team. I also wonder if the loss of Coach Tang is hurting some - he's HC at KSt.

I don’t guess we’ll have to worry about that, but they wouldn’t have jumped Houston unless there is a Houston loss. I don’t know that Houston is the best team in the nation, but I don’t know who would be if they aren’t either. There are several teams in that class. We’ll see what the Cougars are made of Saturday. I think they’ll hold the number one spot unless they lose a game. Eat’em up Coogs!

Classic Texas team. Win some games they shouldn't and lose some games they should win. IMO, Texas won't go far not having a true inside threat. That is what hurt them, Ultimately.

Well....****!! Just when I show an interest in a sport I haven't cared for in awhile, this happens. Have fun with it FMJAG....

Breaking: Texas coach Chris Beard was arrested and charged in the early hours of Monday morning, an Austin Police spokesperson confirms to CBS Sports. Beard was booked on third-degree assault against a family member.
