Interesting. Stale Cracker never ceases to amaze. I bet the EPA would have some say so about those Freon bottles though. Cool video.

                Wonder if he baits them?

Just found out it is best to do it around spawning time. No bait necessary.

                Per another coonie.

Also look like a perfect place for a cottonmouth to hang out.

Man I saw that the other day. New one on me.
I knew catfish looked for holes when they spawned and guys set barrels and such all the time for hand fishing them out. And I’ve run trotlines all my life.
Never once saw them or even heard of them combined.

Ha! That’s a good idea right there! Same concept we use for grabblin (noodling) around here. We would sink 55 gallon drums, or old water heater tanks for them to den up in. Had only one hole in/out, but bigger hole for bigger fish. You could set em out before spawn, and they’d take up residence in em like nobody’s business. Hadn’t ever thought of using it on a smaller scale in a trotline type setup. Prob would be illegal in Texas, since I would think that’d be considered a “fish trap” for gamefish? Good Huntin, and God Bless, Rusty

I wonder how long a cottonmouth can hold its breath?
