    White wing migration

Who’s birds have shown up? Few folks I know in south texas say their birds are in. I’m in Sealy, very few if any yet.

Usually here in Sealy by middle to late July and thick by first of august. Kingsville, Freer, Mathis have had their birds move in. Of course their local birds hang around but migratory birds are moving in steady.

        What you doing in Sealy?

Think I have a dove hunt planned there during the opener.

Here year around as well, but it goes from hundreds to thousands come September October.

While it varies from year to year, i’ve seen fewer dove in Central Texas this year over the years past. Be that as it may, one thing’s for certain: no matter how many dove you see throughout the year, they’ll ALL have checked out by September 1!

Plenty in the valley & should have babies beating their wings pretty soon...they were thin right after the freeze but have made a big comeback.

I agree some colonies are not migrating like they did decades ago...one of the more dramatic adaptations and come backs in sporting migratory bird history.
