        I wonder if the buck was injured before being attacked? Maybe a bad leg or something?Hard to believe a healthy buck of his size and age couldn't out run some coyotes. Hate to see anything suffer a slow death like this.

          Thinking the same thing, why would he just stand there unless he was sick or injured? If he was sick or hurt it was just natures way of culling.

                Cool thread. I know it's nature taking its course, but I still will shoot every coyote that I get the chance to kill! I have had them run off too many deer to give them a pass.

                      That buck was almost certainy sick.

                      At that stage of antler growth (late Summer) EHD / Blue Tongue is at it's peak.
