Man, it looks like he put on a lot of inches this year. If he is 7, I would strongly consider taking him this year. In my experience, not very often do they make a jump like that two years in a row once mature. Would be very hard to pass a 7 yr old deer that nets book as a slick typical. Good problem/decision to have to make!

That’s exactly what I’ve experienced on the ranch, just say he throws out g6s next year, usually he’ll lose inches elsewhere

Exactly. And IMO, he is more special as a slick typical this year than if he adds 6” worth of kickers next year.
