That truck is the most butt ugly vehicle I’ve ever seen. Gonna have to do better than that for me to buy one......and the price would have to be in line with a gasser or this ole boy ain’t gonna bite. Looks like it came from a Mad Max Goes Electric movie.....

My brother ordered a Tesla truck this morning.

If you are under 50 you will see electric cars start to take over the market. Not hybrids full electric. Supercharging stations are already popping up all over the place. In 10 years if not 5 you will see electric 18 wheelers driving on autopilot down the road(there probably will still be person in it because humans are afraid of computers)

What's the delivery date on that thing?

BP estimates about 50 years for oil at current use levels, which will likely decline as costs increase, new tech is developed to increase efficiency and new sources are found but i highly doubt oil reserves will last another 100 years.

Bright side is new tech will likely make fossil fuels obsolete for the most part well before then, if of course artificial general intelligence doesnt wipe us all out first lol

I don’t doubt someone can make it viable as far as the batteries go, I just don’t think they’ll be able to make it affordable or cost effective to make it cheaper than the cost and convenience of gas.

I’m sure the same was said for gas when it first came in the market.

Yep. When I think about every thing Ive seen change technology wise in my short 57 yrs on this earth, I think it’s kind of ignorant to think in another 57years from now our modes of transportation will not have changed dramatically. There’s a whole lot of kids running around in diapers right now that don’t have the same pre conceived notions about this world and tech that this GOF has. Lol
