I wouldn’t hesitate to let them kill those deer providing they are legal.

That being said I think the 13” rule should go out the window when it comes to a first deer for a kid. I know it’s impossible to enforce but it’s how I feel.

Let them both live. Too young. Pick a doe or spike

This . .. they should be very happy with a doe or a spike for their first deer. Don't set the bar so high and make um earn it. Not everyone gets a trophy.
