Vaccinate or Not Vaccinate?

I would have preferred not to get the shot but since our Bolshevik governor would not allow hydroxichloroquin as treatment, the vaccine seemed to be the logical path. Wife and I both have had our 2nd doses.

And my cardiologist recommended I get it too. He’s kept me on the top side of the sod since 1998.

I got my second shot today. I only did it because I work for a school district and coach youth sports. So I am constantly around large amounts of different people.

Don't want it but will ultimately have to get it. It has been "strongly encouraged" by work, and now they are tracking who has/hasn't gotten it.

I 100% agree. This is a very personal decision that each person has the right to make. I don’t think negatively of anyone for the decision they make about it.

I agree with this 100%. If I was old with heath issues I'd probably get. Personally I don't even get a flu shot.

I agree with this as well.

The ridiculing coming from both sides of the argument is somewhat pointless. The logic itself is almost circular.

Vaccinated people - They really aren't much at risk from people that aren't vaccinated; so why should they care if someone isn't.

Non-vaccinated people - They probably are better off if more people around them are vaccinated; so they shouldn't be quick to judge people choosing to do so.

If I didn't like to travel so much, I would not have gotten the vaccine. The only place, I have worn a mask was to get my vaccine. I work from home and am not around very many people. Fortunately, we have not experienced COVID in our household.

I have only had my first one and am scheduled to get my second tomorrow, but not sure that will happen. I had some anaphylactic side effects and a severe headache that lasted for a couple of days with my first one. I have never had a negative reaction to any type of shot/vaccine before and I do not get headaches.

I received the Moderna Vx, sore arm like I worked out or lifted something out of the norm. We complain as a country when meds, vaccines, treatments are not approved for 10 years and when one gets approved in 10 months we are skeptical. The vaccine technically isn't new since COVID-19 is just a variant of a coronavirus, they already had a pretty solid jumping point. Article below is a good tool to learn how it came to be. They didn't create it from scratch in under a year like most people think.

My question is, if vaccines are so bad, wouldn't all of the vaccines they shoot up new recruits in the armed forces be worse than a single vaccine for COVID-19?

I got my first shot a week and half ago and have felt fine. My wife and my parents have gotten both and have been fine.

Do you have any severe allergic reactions to anything?? It's said if you do / carry an epic-pen then it's best not to take the vacs.

Nope, so I was not concerned at all. I do have asthma, but that is it. I have not had an asthma attack in a couple of years.

Getting the 2nd Pfizer shot on Thursday. Im high risk, fat,, and have young kids. Trying to do something about the waist line but figured I should get the shot now and continue to work on my health.

2020 was a focus on finances. I'm in best financial shape ive ever been in. 2021 is a focus on health.

Also I know people who have died from covid complications. I don't know of anyone who have died from the vaccine.

I am passing. My immune system is pretty hefty. Never have been tested for anything, virus or antibodies. I really feel like I had it around Christmas time in 2019. It was a little tough, no more than flu I have had before and lingered more than anything but have not been sick since then.

Get it. I was on the fence until I read the technology wasn't new just the use for this virus is new. True there is no long term testing on it yet, something may come up in a couple years. Risks with everything, just need to decide which way you're more willing to roll the dice. We have an individual with a comprised immune system in the house and my oncologist recommended it for me with the caution it hadn't been studied in c patients yet. Decided it was worth getting it.

You could get coronavirus and have a severe tinnitus which leads to suicide. Very prominent business owner just went through this. So there are side effects of catching the virus as well.

Pretty sure I had the rona last March, sick for 5 weeks and lost most of the vision in one eye from it. Got the vaccine as soon as it was available to me.

If you decide to not get vaccinated and you do catch it and get really sick will you go to the hospital? Or just say nope, no way? Because you know the same science that will help you get better also created the vaccine.

No vaccine for me or the family. Nothing to do with stubbornness just free will and the ability to make choices for ourselves. Don't take the flu shot either...have family members that take the flu shot every year and guess what? They get the flu ever freaking year. Have had several members of the family come down with covid as well. Some got pretty sick others nothing more than a headache and some that didn't even know they had it but tested positive. To each their own and we are all able to make choices for ourselves. Don't see a need to inject something in my body that I have no clue whats in it and what the long term side affects could be. I have a 99% chance of living if it I come down with the rona so really don't see the need for it.
