Well it’s only March and I’ve already got the itch to go deer hunting. Checking to see if y’all recommend a good outfitter for axis hunts. Hunting will be with my recurve. Looking to keep shots inside of 20 yards.
The outfitter I previously used only has one bow blind and I’d like to find another that I’d set up for archery. Much appreciated |

Diamond C is set up well for compound bows.
I'm wanting to go to T-4 at some point. London Oaks Ranch is set up for traditional hunters, by traditional hunters. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk |

As Gary mentioned, London Oaks Ranch offers plenty of shot opportunity within your desired 20-yard range. A lot of thought is given to blind location and design to accommodate all styles of trad gear also.

Bug Oak use to be that way as well. I haven't been there since Buff sold it though.

H4 Hunting Ranch. Great owner, great guide, lots of animals, great accommodations. Shot the axis in my avatar there.

I killed a big one at the diamond C, no issues if you're running a 62 inch bow or less.

Good question BillyJack1975. I’ve still got a lot of fishing to attend to, but now your post has got me to thinking about deer hunting too. Thanks to all who posted this good info.

I reached out to all listed outfitters. Only London Oaks got back to me. Sounds like They’re canceling 2021 due to the kill off from this freeze. T4 sold out and is managed and owned by someone else. Anyone wanting to book a group axis bow hunt hit me up, between a few of us, we could probably find a good outfitter at a good price. I’m fortunately a State employee and got lots of days to burn!
